Kamal Haasan, the name says it all!!! Over a five decades ago, there was a five year old boy who entered AVM Studios to take up his first acting task in "Kalathur Kannamma" and has traveled a long way now marking his foot steps in the World Cinema as "Ulaganayagan" on his golden year of cinemaism.
Now, We are eagerly waiting for his forthcoming release,"Unnai Pol Oruvan" the remake of the hindi hit,"A Wednesday" The movie was produced by Raj kamal Films International and UTV Motion Pictures directed by Chakri Toleti and the musical score was done by Shruthi Haasan. "Terrorism is a major concern today. It is threatening to destroy our lives.
The film talks about the agony and anger of an individual towards terrorism" says Kamal Haasan. The movie also have Ace writer Ee Ra Murugan debuting as the Dialogue writer in this movie and also has Manushiya Puthiran writing lyrics for the movie along with Kamal Haasan. "We have opened the doors of cinema for two literary giants. Ace writer Ee Raa Murugan is making his debut as a dialogue writer, while Manushya Puthiran taking care of lyrics." says Kamal Haasan. And...The film is getting canned in the Famous RED Camera with the state of the art Technology. The film also stares Poonam, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sreeman, M S Baskar and Sivaji among others. "one of the great actors of our era, there was always a burning desire to act with Mohanlal. The camaraderie that we share should encourage others to cast multiple stars in their forthcoming movies." says kamal Haasan while talking about his working experience with Mohanlal as he is pairing up with Mohanlal for the first time. "The moment Kamal Haasan approached me to do the role, I had no hesitation in accepting it. We have been working hard to match the standards set by the original." says Mohanlal who plays a Police Commissioner role in the Movie. "Even saint-poet Kambar was inspired by Valmiki's Ramayana. Isn't Kamba Ramayanam as good as the original? Jokes apart, whenever there are good movies in other languages, there is no harm in going in for a remake." says Kamal haasan while being questioned about the Remake trend!!! "Directing two legends of Indian cinema is no easy task. They aim for perfection in whatever they do." says Chakri Toleti who was a young Photographer in "Salangai Oli" and also acted as Kamal Haasan's friend in Dasavatharam.
So...All to say, there is another milestone waiting for Kamal Haasan.
